Student Experiences

I had the amazing opportunity of doing a clinical rotation at Victoria Physical Therapy. Each and every staff member at Victoria Physical Therapy was welcoming and had a positive impact on my learning experience as a student Physical Therapist. I was able to expand my hands-on knowledge and skill set at Victoria Physical Therapy through the diverse patient diagnoses including: orthopedics, sports injuries, geriatric and injured workers cases. Victoria Physical Therapy always put their patients first and strived to meet each patient’s goals through an individualized plan of care using evidence-based practice.

I worked at Victoria Physical Therapy as a tech for almost a year before being accepted into the VC PTA Program. Working at VPT helped further reassure me that I was headed into the right career field. The whole staff is wonderful and became like a family to me. Everyone there motivated me and was always open to any questions I had. I highly recommend VPT to anyone who needs therapy, because they are a friendly, caring, and knowledgeable group in a welcoming environment. It was an honor to be able to work there.

I’m Kenny Tien, a 2nd year DPT student at the University of St. Augustine of Health Sciences in Austin, TX. I was fortunate enough to be able to complete my 1st internship at VPT for 6 weeks. It was truly an amazing experience and I enjoyed every second of it. Mary and Bryan were extremely encouraging, helpful, and knowledgeable. As they progressed my caseload each week, my confidence began to grow as well and I want to thank them for creating that environment for me to learn. I witnessed the amount of care they displayed to all their patients to help them reach their goals. They were always willing to help, answer all my questions, and allowed me to be independent while being in the clinic. As I continue on my journey to become a future physical therapist, I will always cherish my time at VPT. Thanks to everyone for making my first internship a great experience!

During my time at VPT, I shadowed and learned from both Mary and Bryan. Having the chance to learn under two fantastic therapists diversified my learning experience and allowed me to experience more. The VPT staff was awesome and did a great job at making me feel as one of their own. I am thankful for the entire VPT staff and truly enjoyed my time as a part of the team.
